We don't think you have to leave Denver to have a good time, but Boulder is a short drive (or bus ride. Our front desk team can get you on the right bus), with ample hiking, great food, and inner tubing! We recommend visiting the Boulder Tea House for some signature chai while you're there.
Only a short 40-minute drive from the city (AND accessible by bus for only $5), this tiny town is great for hiking in the Mt. Evans Wilderness Area or just enjoying that small town vibe and eating the best Colorado-style pizza around at Beaujo's!
Cherry Creek Reservoir
An easy bus ride from the hostel (or passionate bike ride for those looking for some cardio), Cherry Creek is a great option for spending the day doing simple hiking, swimming or boating.
Garden of the Gods
If you have to leave Denver and visit Colorado Springs for any reason, make this it. Garden of the Gods can be very touristy but is absolutely worth the crowds.
It has the name for a reason! (p.s. it's accessible by bus)
