Do you have parking?

Sorry, no parking on site. BUT - good news! We are offering $10 for 24-hours of parking with Parkwell, at their East Evans Lot, just one block away. Reserve on the Parkwell website using the promo code "11Hostel" before arrival! Metered street parking on East/West streets is free from 6 PM - 8 AM. Parking on Broadway or Lincoln is NOT permitted overnight.

Are guests allowed in my room?

Non-registered guests are allowed in the lobby only when accompanied by a guest, and must have a valid photo ID. A registered guest is one of the persons on the original reservation who checks in with a valid photo ID. Unregistered guests are NOT allowed upstairs or in the community room. Unregistered guests brought in the hostel will be asked to leave and we may ask you to forfeit your room.

Do you do weekly rates?

Nope. All rooms are charged nightly and the maximum stay is two weeks. We do not provide long-term accommodations. PLEASE NOTE: if you would like to stay in a dorm, proof of ongoing travel is required. For more information call 303.894.0529.

Do you allow animals?

Short answer: no. We welcome service animals as defined by ADA Title II and III. If service animals are acting abnormally, they will be asked to leave. Service animals that cause damage to a room will be liable for a cleaning fee up to $500. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are NOT service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA. Other species of animals, whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained, are not considered service animals either. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the individual’s disability. It does not matter if a person has a note from a doctor that states that the person has a disability and needs to have the animal for emotional support. A doctor’s letter does not turn an animal into a service animal. Have questions? Call us: 303.894.0529.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes. HOWEVER, all reservations are required to have a valid credit card in YOUR name on file. We may take a small deposit from the card at check in to guarantee you have sufficient funds.

Do I have to have an ID?

Yes! We want to make sure you are who you say you are. All guests over the age of 18 must have a valid (non-expired), government-issued photo ID to stay. All members of your group must have an ID to check in. No exceptions. We do not accept local ID for dormitory stays. All visiting guests must have valid ID, and cannot go beyond the lobby. For a full list of our policies, please visit this page.

What is required for check in?

For a full list of our policies, please visit our POLICIES Page. All guests must have a valid (non-expired) government-issued photo ID and debit or credit card in the guest name with funds on it to check in. Dormitory guests are REQUIRED to show proof of travel from 50 miles+ outside of Denver, including but not limited to a plane ticket, future hostel reservation, train ticket, or other, to stay in shared dorm rooms. This is a traveler's space, and we do not allow locals. Photo copies or digital versions of ID or debit/credit card are never allowed. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the cancellation of your reservation and charge of any cancellation fees. Please call us if you have questions: 303.894.0529.

Can I store my bags?

Yes! We are happy to hold your bags for up to 24-hours.

What's the weather like?

Depends on the season and it can change in a moment's notice! Denver is known for its 350 days of sunshine a year, so always pack your sunnies. SPRING: Expect rain and cooler temperatures and pretty blossoms. Pack a jacket! SUMMER: It gets hot here! From time to time, we also get very strong summer rain storms in the evenings. FALL: Cooler temperatures and crunchy leaves. Be prepared for brisk air and very cold temperatures at night. WINTER: It gets pretty cold. Expect snow. Pack a coat, scarve, hat and gloves. The sun will be shining though, so those sunglasses will be life-savers!

Do you accommodate large groups or events?

Yes! We love both! We were founded by a family with many kiddos, so please visit our Group Bookings page to get in touch!

Do you offer discounts?

Yes - for those who book direct! Please visit our DEALS page for active promotions! We also offer $3 off per night for up to 14 nights in a 365-day period with the code "COHOSTELS".

Can I check-in/check-out early/late?

Depends. Please call ahead if you are wishing to check-in early and we will see if we can accommodate you. Please let the front desk know if you would like to check-out late and they will see if they can accommodate you. Late check-outs will incur a $25.00 charge. Anyone checking out after 11:00 a.m. is considered a late checkout and may be charged $25.00.

Are you marijuana friendly?

Nope. DO NOT smoke anywhere on property. Those smoking marijuana on property (or if we discover you smoked in your room after check-out) will be required to leave without a refund, and charged a $250-$500 cleaning fee, depending on damage. Why, you ask? Because private property owners in Colorado can elect not to allow smoking of marijuana on property. Our building is more than 100-years-old, and any kind of smoke is very destructive. Colorado may be 4/20 friendly, but our old building is not. Please enjoy off-site.

What is a hostel?

A hostel is unique lodging focused on community and shared social experience. That means we offer fully private rooms like a hotel, private rooms with shared bathrooms, and shared rooms (a.k.a. dorms!) with shared everything. We also have lots of public areas and activities so you can connect with and meet new people. Our kitchen is under renovation until summer 2021 - so stay tuned for that updated shared space, and explore the renovation here. PLEASE NOTE: all dormitories REQUIRE proof of ongoing travel, meaning a plane ticket to and from, gas receipts, international passport, or proof of ongoing activity while in town. We do not accept local ID.

Do I need to bring my own bedding?

Nope, we've got you covered. Towels and all linens are included in your stay. In fact, please check all bedding (sleeping bags and other) in with the front desk when you arrive.

Can you hold my package?

11th Avenue Hostel can accept mail, but we cannot hold mail that arrives prior to your week of stay. In other words: if it doesn't arrive within 3 days of your arrival, we have to send it back. 11th Avenue Hostel cannot hold packages for an extended period of time and we will not be liable for lost packages or additional shipping charges.

Do you have bike storage?

We love cyclists! We have a bike rack at the back of the building (bring your own lock) and secure bike storage in our basement that is only accessible by staff under lock and key. Sorry, you can't keep your bike in your room.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 48-hours (2 days) or less before arrival will be charged the first night's stay. If you cancel BEFORE 48-hours prior to arrival you will not be charged. For example, if you are staying on January 3rd, if you cancel before January 1st, you will not be charged for the cancellation. Late cancellations for mistaken bookings (i.e. you booked a dorm when you wanted a private room) also fall under this policy. Please note: if you make a same day booking and wish to cancel, you will be charged for that reservation! We try to be as upfront as possible with our accommodations, all we can do is hope you thoroughly read the information we put out.

When is Check In/Check Out?

Check in starts at 2:00 p.m. and goes until 2:00 a.m. Checkout is at 11:00 a.m. Early check in/late check out is subject to availability and subject to a $25 fee. Please note: hostel rooms are charged nightly, not daily. Checking in after midnight does not change our dates of stay. PLEASE NOTE: Our lobby locks at midnight, meaning those who do NOT have a reservation will not be granted access after midnight. This is for everyone's safety. If you're arriving after midnight, please email reservations@11thavenuehostel.com to let us know. For a full list of our policies, visit this page.

How do I get there?

We've got directions for all forms of travel from all major travel hubs on our website here.

Do you allow smoking?

No. 11th Avenue Hostel is a smoke-free building, and smoking or vaping is never allowed inside the building and will result in up to $500 in fines and immediate eviction without a refund. There is a designated smoking area on the hostel patio.
