Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned hostel traveler, there are always new tips and tricks to ensure your next hostel stay is your best one.
First things first: pack your own toiletries. If you're planning on traveling for an extended period, invest in some travel-sized shampoo and soap bottles so you have no bad hair days and are friendlier to the environment.
When sleeping in a dorm - if you are a light sleeper, pack ear plugs (or grab some at our front desk) and possibly an eye mask. It will ensure your night's are restful, in case you have roommates staying up later than you are.
Our personal favorite tip: clean up after yourself! Hostels are all about community and meeting new people, and ensuring you have tidied up after yourself in your dorm, shared bathroom and common spaces ensures everyone else can have the same great experience you had.
Finally, be friendly. Especially in an age of COVID-19 where sometimes traveling can feel a little intimidating, being friendly while keeping a safe distance can go a long way and give you a new experience you never expected, or better, a lifelong friend!
