eat your way through denver (on foot!)

The real danger of living in a city is the delicious food that’s literally right outside your door. We’re fortunate enough to live in a neighborhood where the best food is within blocks of our building, so we thought we’d share our ideal 24-hour food itinerary with you.

8 a.m. Grab a bite to eat at Jelly Café. Stir their homemade whipped cream into our coffee. Think about ordering the cinnamon roll pancakes, or the sliders, or the Boulder Scramble. Unable to decide, you order all three.

9:30 a.m. – Walk off the calories. We have more eating to do.

10:30 a.m. – Grab a coffee at Thump Coffee Roasters.

11:00 a.m. – Make your way West for lunch.

12:00 p.m. – Order a slice of pizza at Denver Pizza Co. (with a side of locally made Glacier Ice Cream). Eat it at a table outside and people watch.

1:00 p.m. – Wish you had ordered more pizza.

1:30 p.m. – Maybe walk some more... We have more eating to do!

2:00 p.m. – Snag a drink at Amethyst Coffee Co. Try something seasonal.

3:00 p.m. – Make a reservation at City O City. You’re going to need it.

6:00 p.m. – Grab your table at City O City. Still don’t believe it’s a vegetarian restaurant. Order the chicken-fried cauliflower and waffles and something to drink.

6:14 p.m. – Still have a hard time believing this is “vegetarian.” It looks way too appetizing.

6:30 p.m. – Scarf down your food. Way too delicious.

6:45 p.m. – Order dessert

8:00 p.m. – Realize what time it is and thank your waiter for a life-changing meal.

9:00 p.m. – End the evening with drinks and games at Stoney’s Bar and Grill

11:00 p.m. – Sleep like a baby.
