denver date night ideas

The mile high city is for lovers. At least we think so. For nearly 4 decades we’ve been dating, exploring, and loving Denver, so here’s a list of our favorite date night spots in the city for you love birds!

And remember, if you want to stay at the hostel and do something a little romantic (hello, champagne in the room!) please reach out! We would love to make your stay extra special!

FOR FOODIE DINNERS

date nights in denver at Cuba Cuba Cafe in the Golden Triangle

It really doesn’t get flirtier than Cuba Cuba Cafe & Bar for a night out. Start with drinks from the bar, then move into a delicious Cuban dinner surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. Finish your date night meal with a hot cortadito and a flan, and then see where the night takes you!

P.S. No reservations available, so plan ahead!

FOR WINE SNOBS (NO OFFENSE)

Postino on Broadway in very swanky, very colorful, but still friendly, approachable, and fun! Enjoy wine, bruschetta, and good vibes at this cozy spot, just 15 minutes walking from the hostel! Make a reservation, and enjoy a brunch or dinner date - your choice!

FOR A GOOD COCKTAIL

We love a local cocktail bar, and this newbie, Pretty Neat, is owned by a husband/wife duo and just opened up in the neighborhood. Good drinks, happy vibes, and cozy atmospheres abound. Get comfy and enjoy this delicious menu! It’s going to be a good night!

FOR VINTAGE VIBES AND LOCAL HANGS

Why have just a date night when you can have entire date day on South Broadway? This charming street has so many fun activities and attractions, you’ll love exploring on foot, and it’s only a 10 minute walk from the hostel.

Start your day (or afternoon - sleeping in is important) at Ti Cafe in South Broadway. It’s a quick walk from the hostel with the best service and flavors. We love their Ube latte. You can take your latte on the road and stop in at record shops (Mutiny is our favorite for comic books and used books in Denver), thrift stores, craft stores (Fancy Tiger Crafts is a must see!). Lunch can be spent at Hornet for a burger, fries, and local beer.

As the evening winds down, think of grabbing a beer at TRVE Brewing, or grabbing dinner at GoFish Sushi or Atomic Cowboy for more American-style fare. The night can be concluded with ice cream at Sweet Action (true Coloradans eat their desserts in negative temperatures) or a donut at Voodoo Doughnuts.

Whatever you do, celebrate love, and enjoy your lives lived together!
